About Us

In today's hectic and distracted society few people understand or give importance to their spirituality. St. Paul Lutheran Church, promotes an environment where a person can realize that humans need not only material goods but also spiritual activity. By caring for the members of our spiritual community we help to also build a better community where we are.

St. Paul has a long tradition and strives to be useful to the community providing charitable donations and volunteering our labor for the communal good.

St. Paul has several outstanding community ministries:

Terrific Tuesday

Terrific Tuesday community dinners on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5 pm.  These dinners are provided for those in our community to assure that those attending have a balanced healthy meal.

Second Time Shop

Second Time Shop is a ministry supported by the whole community, donated gently used clothing, is sold at a modest price to assist the low income families in the community.  Families in need with a voucher from the Franklin Food Pantry can get free clothing. The Second Time Shop is open during the first and last weeks of each month, with the exception of December.  Monday 9 am - 11:30 noon,  Tuesday 6 pm - 7 pm, and Friday 2 pm - 4 pm.

Children's Christmas

Using proceeds from the Second Time Shop and other donations we purchase new clothing for pre-teen children from low income families in the community. Each year clothing is purchased for over 100 children selected in consultation with the Salvation Army, Franklin Food Pantry, local schools and churches.

Special Needs

The Social Ministry Committee provides extra care in the form of meals for bereaved family and friends.  Many members of the congregation contribute food, funds and/or time for this ministry.

Visiting the Sick and Homebound

Many members of the congregation, assist the Pastor, in visiting the sick and homebound through out the year.  Those visited greatly appreciate a visit from the Pastor and church members, as it provides a special highlight for the day.

St. Paul's Own Food Pantry

St. Paul also operates a food pantry from our church.  This is to supplement what the Franklin Food pantry provides.
