Community Service Ministry

In keeping with our mission statement we have several community projects that assist the low income families in the community.

Terrific Tuesday

In 2007 St. Paul started serving free community dinners in the Franklin area, on the second and third Tuesday of each month.  These dinners assured those attending of having a balanced healty meal.

Each dinner begins at 5:00 pm with prayer, followed by dinner, then a short homily, ending with desert and visitation.

Since St. Paul begain this community ministry, other churches in Franklin have joined in serving evening dinners, so that now a person can get a free meal on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week of the year.

Second Time Shop

Second Time Shop is a ministry supported by the whole community, donated gently used clothing, is sold at a modest price to assist the low income families in the community.  Families in need with a voucher from the Franklin Food Pantry can get free clothing. The Second Time Shop is open during the first and last weeks of each month, with the exception of December.  Monday 9 am - 11:30 am,  Tuesday 6 pm - 7 pm, and Friday 2 pm - 4 pm.

St. Paul's Own Food Pantry

St. Paul also operates a food pantry from our church.

This is to supplement what the Franklin Food pantry provides.

To receive items from our Food Pantry you must show your card from the Franklin Food Pantry.

Our Christmas Programs

Using proceeds from the Second Time Shop and other donations we purchase new clothing for pre-teen children from low income families in the community. Each year clothing is purchased for over 100 children selected in consultation with the Salvation Army, Franklin Food Pantry, local schools and churches.

New clothing we give to pre-teen children at Christmas.
We provide stuffed toys for little children in the community each Christmas.
